Delhi Commission for Women on Tuesday sent a notification to Deputy Police Commissioner, Cyber Crime Cell, Delhi Police over environment activist Disha Ravis arrest in the toolkit case. The Delhi Commission for Women has sent a notification to the Delhi Police over the allegations that due treatment was not followed after Disha Ravi was “picked up” on Sunday from her home in Bengaluru.The Delhi Commission for Women asked the Delhi Police to provide a copy of the FIR, reasons for presumably not producing her before a local court for transit, “not offering the attorney of her choice” when she was produced prior to the Patiala House court and a detailed action taken report.”In the light of the above, please offer the following information to the Commission: (i) Copy of the FIR signed up in the matter, (ii) Reasons for presumably not producing the detained girl prior to the local court for transit remand, (iii) factors for apparently not supplying an attorney of her choice to the lady when she was produced prior to the court in Delhi, (iv) in-depth action taken report in the matter,” the notification read.Delhi Police has been asked to offer the details by February 19, 2021.
