(While great in theory, I wonder if this will affect how much control instructors get over their own Google Classroom lineups. I d hate to see this turn into a situation where an instructor has to send an IT aid ticket whenever a student needs to be included or eliminated from a Google Classroom. Google DocsCreate interactive lists in Google Docs. Google MeetHopefully, we can all use Google Meet and Zoom a lot less next year.

Google Classroom Updates Coming Later This Summer/ FallSchedule assignments to several classes at the same time. Offline mode for the Google Classroom Android app. Student activity view. When a student was last active in your Google Classroom, this will let you see. Activity can consist of commenting and accessing projects on posts. All three functions listed above will be available in all versions of Google Workspace for Education. The following Google Classroom functions will only be readily available to those using among the numerous paid Google Workspace for Education plans. Roster import through Clever. This will let IT administrators create classes based on classroom rosters as composed in Clever. (While excellent in theory, I question if this will affect how much control teachers overcome their own Google Classroom rosters. I d hate to see this become a scenario where an instructor has to submit an IT assistance ticket whenever a student requires to be included or gotten rid of from a Google Classroom. That could be a problem during add/drop durations). Classroom add-ons. This will let IT administrators include third-party services into Google Classroom. A few of Googles favored vendors for this consist of Adobe, Kahoot, and Nearpod. Trainees will utilize those tools inside of Google Classroom. Google FormsTwenty new typeface options are being contributed to Google Forms. The settings menu is going to be revamped to “streamline” the application of settings. (Im not exactly sure what there is to streamline in Google Forms settings, its quite basic now). Google DocsCreate interactive lists in Google Docs. Theres a new checkbox option that you can include location of bullet points in Google Docs. This is offered now. See my screenshot below for an example. Google MeetHopefully, we can all utilize Google Meet and Zoom a lot less next year. That said, Google is making some updates to Google Meet for those who are hosting virtual class conferences. When introducing a meeting from Google Classroom teachers and co-teachers will instantly be designated the functions of host. Students who are on the Google Classroom roster will immediately be confessed but will be placed in a waiting space till the teacher is all set to confess them. Anyone not on the Google Classroom lineup will have to ask to join and can only be confessed by the instructor or co-teacher. Hosts can shut off all webcams at the same time with a “video lock” setting. New viewing alternatives will let you control just how much of a discussion you see compared to how much space is allocated for viewing your trainees video cameras or profile icons..
