“Since taking office, Commissioner Saul has undermined and politicized Social Security impairment advantages, terminated the agencys telework policy that was used by approximately 25 percent of the agencys workforce, not fixed SSAs relationships with pertinent Federal staff member unions consisting of in the context of COVID-19 office safety planning, reduced due procedure defenses for benefits appeals hearings, and taken other actions that run contrary to the mission of the agency and the Presidents policy agenda,” the White House said in a declaration.
