A brand-new set of requirements aims to allow the seamless and safe and secure exchange of social factors of health, sexual orientation and gender identity information.
Launched Friday by the Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology, the United States Core Data for Interoperability variation 2, or USCDI v2, consists of brand-new health data classes and constituent data components, consisting of ones associated with social elements affecting health, such as access to steady housing, food and income, together with gender identity and sexual orientation.
