As Microsoft wants to build out its existence in health care, the business struck an integration deal with Teladoc Health. It plans to use Teladocs virtual care platform for health centers through its video conferencing software application, Microsoft Teams.
Considering that the start of the pandemic, Microsoft said some health systems and physicians turned to Microsoft Teams to connect with patients. At the very same time, Zoom and other video conferencing rivals began to more aggressively market their health care capabilities

In a news release, Teladoc CEO Joseph DeVivo stated the collaboration would give clinicians a more seamless experience, minimize administrative tasks and utilize both business artificial intelligence proficiency.
Through its partnership with Teladoc, Microsoft prepares to contribute to its enterprise healthcare efforts that were set in motion last year, when it started providing cloud services for health care.
Microsofts current proposal to obtain healthcare AI company Nuance for $19.7 billion tips at its future strategies. Nuance is best known for its dictation software application used to pull health info into scientific notes, in addition to voice-based permission and medication orders. The company, which has partnered with Microsoft for several years, likewise started integrating these capabilities into Microsoft Teams after the start of the pandemic.
The offer passed antitrust regulators last month and is expected to close this year.
