(Montpelier)– HB Lozito, the Executive Director of Out in the Open and Representative Taylor Small, the Pride Center of Vermonts Director of Health & & Wellness speak with Vermont Commission on Women (VCW) Commissioner Sarah Mell in this third podcast in the Commissions (Un)Equal Pay Day series.
Equal Pay Day is a symbolic day picked to illustrate the point into the current year to which ladies need to work to make as much cash as guys made in the year prior to due to the gender wage gap. With these video podcast discussions, VCW hopes to raise awareness about pay equity, and the methods bigotry, sexism, homophobia, and ableism intersect, developing much bigger wage gaps for women of color, females living with disabilities, and members of the LGBTQ+ neighborhood. Another goal of the project is to listen to women about their experiences with pay injustice, how it impacts them, and what they believe might assist.
Presented by VCWs executive director Cary Brown, this episode explores equity and the financial impacts of COVID-19 in our LGBTQ+ neighborhood. It likewise thinks about extra effects to those community members living with impairments and BIPOC members.
