Today the search giant the good news is made some crucial clarifications about the platform, starting with its name: it will be called Wear OS 3, and not just “Wear” as Google hinted back at the I/O designer conference.
On August 11 Samsung will reveal the first two watches running the brand-new combined Wear platform which was developed by the Korean business in partnership with Google.

Thats it. Thats the whole list, at least for now. Even for these qualified devices, the upgrade will be provided “on an opt-in basis”, due to the fact that when you install it youll have to factory reset your watch and re-do all settings and such as if you d simply bought it.
Heres the most significant disappointment, though – the updates will present “beginning in mid to 2nd half of 2022”. Thats not a typo, you will in fact have to wait a year from now.
Okay, now onto updates. The TicWatch Pro 3 GPS, TicWatch Pro 3 Cellular/LTE, and TicWatch E3 from Mobvoi will all be upgraded to Wear OS 3. The next wearables from Mobvoi will all also either run Wear OS 3 from the first day or will be updateable to the brand-new variation.
Additionally, Fossil Groups brand-new generation of devices introducing later this year will be updateable to Wear OS 3, but they will not launch running it.
