Matthew L. Myers, president and chief executive of Campaign for Tobacco-Free Kids, applauded the North Carolina settlement as a favorable step but stated it is “time for FDA to act.” Just the FDA, he stated, “has the authority to forbid the sale of the high-nicotine and flavored e-cigarettes that are fueling the youth e-cigarette epidemic.”
