Much like the abovementioned services above, Netflix will let you play video games on the cloud without needing to own powerful hardware to do so. Again, offered the most current Netflix hiring, Mike Verdu from EA, the business may be looking to develop internal video games. And it would make good sense to some extent due to the fact that the report says that the service will be offered to already subscribed users.
For those of you who dont understand, Mike Verdu has dealt with Sims, Plants vs. Zombies, various Zynga video games, Farmville and even Star Wars. This might give us a great idea of what kind of games Netflix will be aiming at.
Last but not least, Netflix is supposedly preparing to launch the service outside its Netflix app as it will likely wishes to prevent Apples Arcade and Google Stadia.
Possibly a small bump in the cost is to be anticipated, once the service launches, but that would not increase the income stream all that much, which in turn means that Netflix will more than likely focus more on in-house video games. Third-party titles may be readily available however we question triple A titles to be provided at launch too.
Weve heard the rumors before and now a Bloomberg report validates that Netflix is working on a game streaming service of its own. It will not be contending the likes of YouTube and Twitch, no. It will instead break Googles Stadia and Xbox Cloud services that are real video gaming services.
