An off-duty flight attendant forced a Delta Air Lines flight headed to Atlanta from Los Angeles to divert in Oklahoma after he tried to access the planes intercom system. Oklahoma City Police told CNN that the guy was controlled after assaulting two fight attendants, and threatened to “take the aircraft down.” Once the airplane landed in Oklahoma, the passenger was taken into custody and transferred to a health center with small injuries, authorities told the news outlet.One passenger told CNN that the incident happened when the plane was two hours away from Atlanta, when somebody got on the intercom system and recommended guests to prepare to put on their oxygen masks. Oklahoma City Police stated on Twitter that the FBI is now handling the examination into the incident.Video of the occurrence shared to Twitter showed people scuffling to the front of the pane, which is dark, and trying to pin a male to the ground. The flight continued to Atlanta after the passenger was eliminated.”We apologize to our clients for the delay and any extra hassle this triggered,” the airline said.The Hill has connected to Delta for remark. The occurrence marks the second Delta flight in as many weeks to be diverted due to an unruly passenger.Earlier this month, a Delta flight was required to make an emergency situation landing after it removed from Los Angeles International Airport after a traveler tried to breach the cockpit.
