The Lenovo Smart Clock and Smart Clock Essential are both practical, attractive alarm clocks with some extra clever house capabilities. Today, Lenovo has revealed the next in line: the Lenovo Smart Clock 2.
The huge news is that the Google Assistant-powered Smart Clock 2 can come with an optional cordless charging dock, which can juice up Qi-compatible gadgets. This dock can also act as what Lenovo describes as “a soft, ambient nightlight.”
Beyond that, Lenovo states the brand-new Smart Clock has actually an updated style with 3 color options that blend in with “nearly any home decor.” And 85 percent of the plastic on the device is made from recycled materials.

Here it is in “void blue.”

And here it is in “shadow black” with the battery charger.

Compared to the $79.99 Smart Clock and the $49.95 Smart Clock Essential, the Smart Clock 2 definitely looks less … clocky. The gadget is taller, and theres a larger fabric chin listed below the four-inch touchscreen than weve seen on Lenovos previous designs. To me, it looks more like a mini clever screen than an alarm clock, which is certainly a departure from the lines previous style approach.
The Smart Clock 2 begins at $89.99 and is anticipated to be offered in September 2021. It changes the original Lenovo Smart Clock, while the lower-cost Smart Clock Essential will continue to be offered.
