The Federal Trade Commission today unanimously voted to ramp up law enforcement versus repair work limitations that prevent small companies, employees, customers, and even federal government entities from fixing their own products.

Back in May, it was reported that the United States FTC acknowledged that business anti-repair strategies were injuring small companies and customers. Today, the United States FTC reveals that it has unanimously voted to punish offending companies that purposefully make third-party repairs on items extremely challenging outside of its own repair work network.

This dedication from the FTC is a huge win for the Right to Repair motion. This doesnt just apply to smart devices and customer tech, however throughout all industries like vehicles, home appliances, and commercial machinery. In addition, the FTC urges everybody to send problems of offenses of the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act.
