Bangladeshi Americans for Social Empowerment will host a complimentary health seminar on diabetes and diet plan for minority females, at the Hamtramck Public Library on March 11.
This women-only workshop wants to get rid of cultural and spiritual barriers which may avoid ladies from getting the responses for everyday to specific womenâEUR & #x 2122; s health concerns from an Oakland UniversityâEUR & #x 2122; s William Beaumont School of MedicineâEUR & #x 2122; s female medical professional or specialist.
Bangla translation is available for Bangladeshi women, which Event Coordinator Subha Hanif said is a target audience for this informative event. Hanif, biology major and junior at Oakland University, said minority women might face barriers when accessing health care such as restricted or no insurance coverage, seeing irregular doctors, or not asking the best concerns.
Hanif stated when a lady understands how to take care of herself, the entire household is most likely to follow her course.
Hanif stated women should bring their family, neighbors and buddies to the seminar.
BASE, a non-profit organization, has actually hosted 2 workshops last year, and prepares to host others this year.
