WASHINGTON– San Diego Padres 2nd baseman Jake Cronenworth struck for the cycle for the first time in his major league career as his group blew out the Washington Nationals 24-8 on Friday night.After lining out in the very first inning, Cronenworth had a two-run double in the 2nd, an RBI triple in the 3rd, a solo homer in the 5th and an infield single versus the shift in the sixth.”Just attempted to put something in play hard,”Cronenworth said of his at-bat in the sixth that clinched the cycle.
