Fans have revealed their anger on social media, with numerous saying that they will stop being fans of the team.Caught in the middle of some of the negativity is the teams super star, Damian Lillard, who reportedly lobbied for Billups and Jason Kidd within hours of the team and previous coach Terry Stotts concurring to part methods on June 4 after 9 seasons.On Saturday morning, Lillard reacted to a fan on Twitter who stated Lillard was accountable for the hire since he apparently wanted Billups.Lillard reacted by tweeting: “Really? Lillard was 10 when Kidd was jailed in 2001. Kidd, who filed for divorce, said he was abused in the relationship.Kidd removed his name from consideration for the Blazers task on June 6, saying that he didnt desire to put Lillard and the organization in a bad position while they conducted their search due to the fact that Lillard had actually lobbied for him. Neil Olshey, Blazers president of basketball operations, stated that Lillard would be involved in the search for a brand-new coach.Last week, the Blazers supposedly held 2nd interviews with Billups, San Antonio assistant Becky Hammon and Brooklyn assistant Mike DAntoni.
