To begin Fridays broadcast, Santangelo sat with Dan Kolko, who was substituting normal play-by-play announcer Bob Carpenter. Carpenters absence was prepared by MASN and the Nationals, providing him a couple of extra days off after the all-star break. Kolko thanked Justin Maxwell for assisting out throughout Santangelos absence, but Santangelos return was lightly acknowledged before he shifted his attention to the video game.
