San Francisco 49ers security Tony Jefferson missed out on the totality of the 2020 season as he recovered from a torn ACL sustained the prior season with the Baltimore Ravens.
Now having last played in an NFL game in Oct. 2019, Jefferson cant wait to reveal the league what hes still efficient in.
” Sitting out a year, you simply completely miss everything,” Jefferson stated on the NFL Network. “You just want to put your hand in the stack at this point. For me, being undrafted, its like starting all over once again and simply heading out there and showing yourself and making a name. Trigger, you understand, you remain a year, a great deal of people forget. Forget who you are, forget what youve done, and its time for me to advise individuals.”
Jefferson had actually come off a set of actually strong seasons with the Ravens prior to his injury in 2019 against the Pittsburgh Steelers. He was off to a great start that year also prior to being sidelined. While he worked to recuperate from the knee injury, he was not able to discover a group that wanted to bring him in last year.
The 49ers signed Jefferson last month and he brings seasoned experience to a safety position that dealt with injuries themselves last season. Jaquiski Tartt and Jimmie Ward each dealt with injuries last season in San Francisco.
Jefferson is excited to reveal that hes still got it after getting back to complete strength.
” Im delighted to simply to be able to put my hand in the stack, work my tail off and prove myself,” Jefferson said. “Like I said, taking a year off for a guy whos been playing because 4 years old, words cant actually reveal how thrilled I am for this opportunity.”
